Nicole Mendes

Thank you for visiting! I’m Nicole, and I bring over 15 years of strategic leadership experience in Human Resources and Project Management. As a senior HR executive and certified PMP®, I specialize in aligning people strategies with business goals to drive performance, retention, and a strong organizational culture.

My expertise spans HR strategy, talent management, learning and development, HRIS implementation, and large-scale project execution. I’m passionate about building scalable HR frameworks and implementing high-impact programs that support both people and business outcomes.

I hold a B.S. in Biology from Spelman College, where I developed the analytical mindset and people-first approach that continue to shape my work today. I’ve also completed the Harvard ManageMentor program through Harvard Business Review, further sharpening my leadership and business acumen. My early studies at the UNC School of Medicine—though I ultimately pursued a different path—instilled in me a deep commitment to care, structure, and discipline.

Throughout my career, I’ve partnered with executive teams across industries to foster inclusive cultures, develop emerging leaders, and streamline HR operations. I’m well-versed in platforms like UKG, Workday, ADP, iSolved, Smartsheet, and Monday.com, supporting both HR and project execution with technical precision.

I'm also an active civic leader and recognized speaker. I’ve served on the City of Charlotte’s KCB Board (2021–2024), participated in the Leadership Charlotte Encounter program, and shared insights at industry events including the HR Connect Summit and the FCICA Annual Conference—just a few examples of the many ways I stay engaged in both civic and professional communities.
